Just saw two more bears, and got a few more pics :) i now have seen four bears.

30 mile day achieved. . . Food and rest needed.

Pushed a little to hard yesterday; Slept like a rock last night. Short day today then probably a long one tomorrow again. Hit waynesborro within the next 3days

Made it into glasgow thanks to some kind folks that blessed me with a ride.

This mount shall be blueberrie mountain. I now claim it as my mountain and shall sleep atop it and it will be good. Hehe

At long last after being off trail for family events for a week i am finaly getting back on the trail today. Not expecting to go to far today.

latest events

my feet are in wretched condition... no blisters, but they are not happy. got stung for the first time in my life today... not alergic to it yay! but idk what it was haha. missed the sun comming over the peaks this morning, but was able to catch it not long after; and got some decent pics :)... been seing alot of snakes lately... hoping to find a church service for later tonight.

Didn't get to church tononight whowever i did realize that coffe shops are a trap haha especially when they have live music... spent more money than i needed to there but met some family in Christ, and had some good conversations; new friends yay! :). Restock tomorrow and head out of town as far as my feet will let me.

some recent events

Spending more time than I should in town haha. Though it is good to have a rest, and let puddle jumper catch up a little bit. my new longest day was a 25 miler... it was along day. I finally saw a bear, but it ran away to fast so I didn't get a picture of it :(. I did however get some pictures of a 4-5 foot black snake earlier that day; that was kinda cool. I had to restrain my self from messin with it hehe :). Planning on finding a church to go to tonight, then I'll be on my way tomorrow.

I sit enjoying a dairy queen breakfast, and indulging in the word of God. What a glorious way to start the day :)

oh and mileage update, i am some where around the 580 mile marker.

praising God this morning for a beautiful morning, and lovely hospitality from some fellow christians; in a hiker out reach program. free pick up from the trail, dinner, place to sleep (the church; which was kinda cool :) ), breakfast, and then a ride back to the trail... PRAISE GOD! i pray God blesses this program. should be making it into bland today at some point. and for those who don't know my GPS device is up and running again.

Got an early start today did 20 miles today now chilling in marian virginia.

Was blessed this past weekend. By two brothers from church coming to hang out; kevin and adam. we had a rather interesting service sunday... almost to virginia.

Puddle jumper and i find ourselves waiting out a storm this morning.

My last week or so...

sorry I haven't updated anything in a while. My GPS device was out of batteries, and I have had no phone service. my last week i have been moving pretty fast. into Smoky National Park i had an 11 mile day, followed by a 14ish mile day, followed by a 15.5ish mile day, followed by a 5 mile day, followed by an 18ish mile day out of Smokey National Park. i think the following day was like a 13 mileish day, and yesterday was the longest so far at right about 20 miles into town... and today is a 0 day... contemplating a 0 day tomorrow too, not sure yet. if i leave tomorrow it will be around noonish, and will probably be an 8 to 10 mile day... while in smoky national park i was blessed with the presence of brothers and sisters in faith :) we had some good conversations; that were quite uplifting and rejuvenating... besides that nothing else much has happened i guess... first day in the Smoky mountains i saw a young wild pig, that was kinda cool i wrekon. still waiting to see a bear; i want a picture... anyways i believe i have walked about 272 miles so far; making progress...haha 2000 more to go

making progress

Yesterday was the longest day so far at 15 miles. I hiked from about 9-9:30ish to 5:00; and enjoyed a nice large fire in camp. For dinner I had a creamy chicken rice dish... I don't really plan on having that again; it was a disappointment. Today was an easy 5.5 mile day to a road to get a ride into town. Puddle jumper and I are going to stay the night at the lodge here then head out early tomorrow. Tomorrow we enter into the Smoky mountains...

8 mile day today; pretty much all up hill. Got done hiking relatively early for once. Just enjoying the rest of the day for now; might do 15 miles tomorrow.

Had a good Easter service at the Grove church; in Bryson city.

quick update

Well my phone got wet and is down; on the account that it was in my pocket while hiking in the rain... so, while in town I'm going to get a new one; and have my number transferred... we'll see how that goes though. looking forward to Easter service tomorrow.

In town for the night

Was a little feverish 2 nights ago. just a lil head cold i think. still trucking along got places to be and people to reach.

I'm hoping to catch up with that guy in N.O.C. I guesse i could have reported this earlier; my trail name is Treepiper.

My buddy however is about 4 miles behind i'll likely wait for him tomorrow. my buddy and I where blessed with leading one to the lord on tuesday.

Well i passed the north carolina georgia border today at 7:2O pm. I am officially in N.C. It was about a 9 mile day.

Just stayed in town today waiting on my buddy's food to arrive. Will be on the trail tomorrow again.

11 mile day to town today.

Today is going to be the first 0 day. Me and puddle jumper (jesse) are going to just hang out today, do some reading and praying

Well go figure my buddy actually did catch up with me last night. So for now we're still Stickin together.

Tonight is the first night away from the buddy i started with. He got some blisters that are slowing him down a bit.

My gps device is low on batteries so i didn't track today. It was about an 8 mile day. deciding to go to town tomorrow or the next.

Today was the longest day yet at 13 miles. Got some hail about 2.5 to 3 hours after setting up camp. All good though

7 days on the trail, all is good. 2 days ago stopped in town and traded out some gear. Got my pack down to 43 lbs

Well just realized texts bigger than one page on my phone don't get posted... >:( So knowing that i'll actually be updating the blog now.

soon we embark.

7 days and counting till my buddy and I leave for the trail head, and the excitement is mounting. I've been meaning to get up a pic or vid of the gear i'm using, so i should hopefully have that up for ya'll soon.
